Maple Falls Man Dies in Crash on Boulder Creek Logging Road

Whatcom County, WA– The Washington State Patrol responded to a single vehicle fatal crash on September 4th, 2018 around 7:00 p.m. on Boulder Creek Logging Road, also known as Forest Service Road 1130. This road is 32 miles East of Bellingham, Washington.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, a 62-year old man from Maple Falls, was traveling Eastbound on Forest Service Road 1130 in a green 2003 Toyota Tacoma Pickup when his vehicle drifted to the right and struck a stump.  The man died at the scene.

Troopers have not released the name of the man and said it is unknown is drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. The man was reported to not be wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The vehicle was towed to the owner’s residence. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
