Mount Vernon City Council Member Resigns

MOUNT VERNON– At their most recent City Council meeting, the Mayor and City Council accepted the resignation of Councilmember Joe Lindquist.  

Councilmember Lindquist has been elected to the Public Utility District #1 Board of Commissioners, and will begin serving the public in that role beginning January 1, 2019.

Councilmember Lindquist was first appointed to City Council in January 2005.  He then was re-elected in 2005, 2007, 2011 and 2015 serving for 14 years.  During his tenure, Joe was active in all Council committees and represented the City on the Northwest Clean Air Agency Board for 10 years.
