Burlington Man Dies After Crash on Marine Drive

Skagit County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a single vehicle crash in the 4500 block of Marine Drive around 2:10 a.m. on October 21st, 2018. 

According to Troopers, 18-year old Basil Hauser-Anderson of Mount Vernon was traveling Northbound on Marine Drive in a black 2002 Acura RSX when he lost control of the vehicle, went into oncoming lanes of traffic and the vehicle began spinning counterclockwise before it left the roadway and struck a tree on the passengers side.  Troopers say Hauser-Anderson was not injured. 

18-year old Tevis Honeycutt of Anacortes was injured but not transported to the hospital. 16-year old Devra Dhaliwal of Anacortes was injured and transported to Island Hospital for treatment.   18-year old Charles Golding of Burlington was injured and transported for treatment. Troopers say Golding passed away from his injuries on December 6th, 2018 at Kindred Hospital. 

The cause of the crash was listed as Excessive Speed and charges against the driver are under investigation.
