Burlington, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to reports of a pedestrian who had been struck and killed by a semi truck on Southbound I-5 just north of milepost 229 in Burlington around 7:16 p.m. on January 15th, 2019.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, a 42-year old Deming man was traveling Southbound on I-5 in a black 2016 Kenworth Tractor when he struck a pedestrian in the roadway. The Pedestrian, who has not been identified by Troopers pending next of kin notification, died at the scene.
The cause of the crash and any possible charges are under investigation.
The Kenworth Tractor sustained reportable damage and was towed from the scene by Budget Towing.
