Dwayne Lane’s North Cascade Ford Merges with Dwayne Lane’s Skagit Ford

Dwayne Lane's North Cascade Ford

Sedro-Woolley, WA – Due to the lack of contractually promised environmental clean up of polluted soil at the Dwayne Lane’s North Cascade Ford site located at 116 Ferry Street in Sedro-Woolley, and the impact on the dealership’s inability to proceed with a manufacturer required multi-million dollar remodel, the company has merged with Dwayne Lane’s Skagit Ford-Lincoln dealership at I-5 Auto World  in Burlington,  effective immediately.

Tom Lane, CEO of Dwayne Lane’s Auto Family stated, “Banks do not lend money on polluted soil. Without the ability to finance the property purchase and proceed with the manufacturer required multi-million dollar remodel, we were left with no viable options”. He explained that unfortunately, after 5 ½ years, very little progress has been made to clean the site by the responsible party, which led to the consolidation of the two Ford dealerships.

Although the company was unable to move the auto body operations, nearly every service, sales, parts and administration department team members made the move to Skagit Ford Lincoln, over 80% of the staff. “That’s 23 jobs that will remain in Skagit County,” Lane said.

“We are grateful to the Sedro-Woolley community for its patronage the past 5 1/2 years and Dwayne Lane’s Auto Family is committed to continue its community involvement,” Lane promised.

Dwayne Lane’s Auto Family has five dealerships in Snohomish and Skagit counties with over 250 employees.
