Rockport, WA – Join Gina Roberti from the North Cascades Institute on Saturday, March 30th, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until noon for an interactive geology lesson on the topic of “What makes the mountains of the North Cascades so tall?”
Participants will work in teams to investigate the stories behind real rock samples collected from around the North Cascades and learn about the geologic processes that form such “gneiss” rocks.
This free event is appropriate for all ages and all levels of curiosity related to geology, volcanoes and metamorphism in the North Cascades.
Event location is Rockport State Park, 51905 Highway 20, Rockport, WA.
