Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle North of Oak Harbor

Island County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a serious injury collision in the 3100 block of Goldie Road, three miles North of Oak Harbor around 9:14 p.m. on April 16th, 2019.

According to a press memo from the Washington State patrol, 21-year old Michael Cheeseman of Oak Harbor was driving a 2013 BMW 328 when he reversed from a legal parking space and struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian was seriously injured and transported to Harborview Medical Center with life threatening injuries.  The pedestrian’s name has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

The cause of the crash is under investigation and any possible charges will depend on the outcome of the investigation.
