Burlington, WA – Burlington Police Detectives are investigating a robbery after the Chase Bank inside of the Burlington Fred Meyer store was robbed by a man at 6:03 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17th, 2019.
According to a Burlington Police, the man walked inside the Chase bank and handed the teller a note demanding money but no weapon was observed. The teller complied with the man’s instructions and no one was harmed. The suspect then walked out of the bank, through Fred Meyer and exited the store through the Apparel entrance on the West side of the store.

Multiple Police agencies responded to the scene and set up a perimeter around the area in an attempt to find the suspect. A witness reported to 9-1-1 that they had been listening to the police scanner and witnessed a man similar to the one who robbed the bank getting onto a Skat bus that headed Eastbound on State Route 20 towards Sedro-Woolley. Officers made contact with the Skat bus on Collins Road near Sedro-Woolley and confirmed the male had not gotten on the bus.
The suspect is described as being a white male, in his late 20’s to early 30’s. He is approximately 6 feet tall and 195 pounds. The man is said to have brown hair and brown eyes. The suspect has not been identified by detectives and there are no known vehicles associated with the suspect.
