Motorcyclist Injured on SR20 East of Newhalem

Motorcycle Crash

Skagit County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a single motorcycle crash on State Route 20 near milepost 126, 5-miles East of Newhalem.

According to a press memo from the Washington State patrol, 56-year old Steven Olson was Eastbound on State Route 20 at milepost 126 on a grey 2006 Victory Vegas Motorcycle when he attempted to pass traffic in a “no passing zone”.

Troopers say Olson lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into the ditch on the East side of the roadway.

The cause of the crash is listed as unsafe passing. Charges are under investigation. The motorcycle was impounded to Carl’s Towing for safe keeping.
