Sedro-Woolley, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a vehicle verses pedestrian crash in the 500 block of East State Street in Sedro-Woolley around 7:52 p.m. on June 8th, 2019.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 44-year old James Greathouse of Hamilton was traveling Westbound on State Street in a black 1999 Ford Ranger pickup when he struck 53-year old Kerry Shuler of Sedro-Woolley as Shuler was crossing State Street in a marked crosswalk.
Troopers believe alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash and Greathouse was arrested and booked into the Skagit County Community Justice Center on an INVESTIGATIVE HOLD for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence and Vehicular Assault.
Shuler was injured and transported to United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley for treatment.
The Ford Ranger was impounded to the Washington State Patrol bullpen in Burlington.
