South Whidbey Firefighters Responding to Brush Fire

Whidbey Island, WA– South Whidbey Firefighters are working to extinguish a brush fire near the intersection of Decatur Avenue and Ludlow Street in Scatchet Head.

The Fire has spread into some trees.

As a reminder, South Whidbey Fire and EMS would like to remind residents that outdoor fires (open flame) are only allowed in approved burn pits for recreational use. Burning brush or other outdoor natural debris is currently prohibited under the Level 1 Burn Ban.  Click here for more information.
