Whatcom County, WA– Troopers with the Washington State Patrol are assisting the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office in investigating a serious injury crash at Everson Goshen Road and Central Road in Whatcom County.

According to Troopers, a small passenger car was traveling West on Central Road and failed to stop at a stop sign. The passenger car struck a dump truck carrying gravel that was traveling South on Everson Goshen Road, the vehicle then struck a box truck that was traveling North on Everson Goshen Road. Two Passengers in the car as well as the dump truck driver and the driver of the box truck were all transported to area hospitals with injuries.

Troopers say the driver of the car is a male in his late 20’s and the passenger was an adult male in his late teens. The passenger has several broken bones, and the driver is currently under investigation for Vehicular Assault for disregard for Safety of Others.

Troopers ask that the public avoid the area and travel on alternate routes.
Detectives are on scene to continue the investigation.
