UPDATE: Island County Public Health Investigating Multiple COVID-19 Cases at Careage of Whidbey in Coupeville

Island County, WA – Island County Public Health is investigating multiple COVID-19 cases at Careage of Whidbey in Coupeville. Two cases have been confirmed and test results are pending for other residents and employees. At this time, test results are expected back in approximately 3-5 days. These cases are the first confirmed cases associated within a long-term care facility in Island County.

**Please Note: This is an update from the previous press release stating Island County Public Health was investigating a potential “cluster” of COVID-19 cases in a Long-Term Care facility.

Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases are now spread widely throughout Island County. All residents must take urgent action to help minimize the health impacts of COVID-19. Mandates and public health recommendations apply to our entire community, in all locations, on both Camano and Whidbey Islands.
