Here we are at another weekend of live streaming entertainment. I wanted to give some press to a newer band out of Bellingham …. The Lettered Streets. These creative alt rockers are young, fresh and have a great sense of humor. They will be doing their first livestream on Friday at 7pm and it will actually be aired simultaneously on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. The four band members will be playing together, but from their individual homes. I’m really excited to see this show …. it should be a nice change of pace from the acoustic streams if you’ve been missing some of that electric energy.
Local musical artist, Cory Vincent, had a tremendously successful live stream last week getting up to 385 viewers at one point. The day after the stream he was gracious enough to do a short interview with local music podcast Our PNW Music (Cory Vincent Facebook Live During Washington’s Stay Home Act — Our PNW Music). Cory will be back again this Saturday at 6:30pm – you really don’t want to miss it. He’s truly a phenomenal local artist.
Another local favorite, Brittany Collins, will be back on Friday night at 7pm armed with her acoustic guitar and hypnotic resonance.
Whatcom County sweetheart, Havilah, has been killing it with her live streams. She’ll be at it again on Friday. She’s a total package …. beautiful voice, talented musician and has a great sense of humor. Maybe she’ll dress up in sequins and slippers again.
Another fantastic local female artist is Savanna Woods of The Woods Sisters and Waking Maya. She has been streaming live shows on Wednesday’s at 2pm. More artists are starting to jump on the live stream bandwagon. Most all of the artists will have some form of tipping app available. If you are able to, please tip them a few dollars. Think of it this way …. you’ll be spending a great deal less by tipping them a few bucks here then if you went out to watch them play at a club/bar where you would also be spending money on food and drinks.
