Skagit County, WA – Skagit County Public Health has released the latest Covid-19 numbers. As of 4:00 p.m. on April 22nd, 2020, Skagit County has 275 laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the community. There have been 39 patients hospitalized during their illnesses and nine (9) people have died from the virus. A total of 95 people have recovered in Skagit County after being diagnosed with COVID-19.
Skagit County Public health is closely monitoring the increasing rate of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in the community. Community members are encouraged to continue to practice social distancing. As you venture out of your homes, the best suggestion is to assume everyone you come into contact with possibly has the virus. Take precautions to limit the potential for transmission of the disease. The County does not have the ability to test everyone, so we all need to continue to practice social distancing as the laboratory confirmed positive cases in Skagit County continue to rise. The death toll in Skagit County continues to rise as well.
Remember, this is not forever, but the less diligent we are in our good hygiene and social distancing, the longer this will go on. Stay Strong, stay home and stay healthy.
