LIVESTREAM MUSIC ROUNDUP 8/06/2020 – 8/12/2020

Some livestream highlights this week ….

Saturday night we’re going to have the privilege of watching J.P. Falcon Grady’s band (J.P. FALCON BAND) perform. Facebook users are lucky enough to be able to view JP’s nearly daily solo streams, but this will be a true gift to be able to experience the full band treatment. The stream will include mostly classic rock, blues and reggae covers, with a few JP originals sprinkled throughout.

Friday we’ll get to see one of our local favorites, Wes Jones, from the Sedro Woolley rock band Lazy Acres.  Wes has only streamed a few times since the pandemic began so it’s a rare treat when he hops on to entertain us. His stream will include both originals and cover songs. If you’ve never seen Wes Jones perform a solo show, you’re missing out. One of the best voices and songwriter’s in the Pacific Northwest, Wes always delivers.

Tuesday on KMRE 102.3, tune in to hear Our PNW Music podcast’s interview with Charlie Krengel, Cory Vincent and Wes Jones. Both Wes and Cory have been on the podcast previously, but this is a special episode celebrating Charlie Krengel, who is moving out of Washington State. You may know him as the bass player for the popular Mount Vernon cover band The Tighty Whities. Some know Charlie as their go-to guy at Hugo Helmer Music. Many of us know Charlie as the sidekick to Skagit County’s top tier singer songwriters. He has played lead guitar along side local esteemed musicians such as Jack Mattingly, Cory Vincent and Wes Jones and has also been one of the members of the local music artist showcases that highlight the best of the best.  Many local musicians say that Charlie is not only the best guitarist in Skagit County …. but maybe even the county’s best guitarist of all time.
