Skagit County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded with local firefighters and medics to a High Risk Motorcycle Crash around 4:30 a.m. on October 17th, 2020 at the intersection of Sims Road and State Route 20.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, a 59-year old Blaine man was traveling Eastbound on State Route 20 on a silver 2016 Indian Motorcycle when his motorcycle left the roadway to the right and struck a guardrail. The man died at the scene.
Troopers say the cause of the crash was excessive speed. The man was wearing a Dot Compliant Helmet at the time of the crash.
Troopers have not released the name of the man pending notification of next of kin.
