Sedro-Woolley Man Dies in Crash on Blanchard Road and SR11

Skagit County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a single vehicle, fatal traffic accident around 8:23 p.m. on January 18th, 2022.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 66-year old Mark Meyer of Sedro-Woolley was traveling Northbound on Blanchard Road in a green 1995 Subaru Legacy when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. Troopers say his vehicle left the roadway to the left, went down an embankment, rolled and came to rest in the ditch of Northbound State Route 11. Troopers say Mr. Meyer was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and died at the scene.  Next of kin notification was completed by the Skagit County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The vehicle was impounded for safe keeping by Carl’s Towing.
