Skagit County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a 2-vehicle crash on Westbound State Route 20 at Lyman-Hamilton Highway around 8:35 a.m. on September 21st, 2022.

According to a press release from the Washington State Patrol, 17-year-old Hunter Lake of Sedro-Woolley, had been traveling Westbound State Route 20 in a 1996 Toyota Pickup when he stopped to make a left turn onto Lyman Hamilton Highway. Troopers say, 29-year-old Danielle Allison of Sedro-Woolley, who had also been traveling Westbound State Route 20 in a 2007 Subaru Tribeca failed to stop and rear-ended Lake’s vehicle.  The Subaru came to a stop in the Westbound Lane and the Toyota came to a stop blocking both lanes of travel.

Local firefighters and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and Lake was transported to a local hospital and then airlifted to Providence Medical Center in Everett for treatment where his condition remains unknown.

Allison and two passengers in her vehicle, identified as an 8-year-old child and a 10-year-old child were not seriously injured in the crash. Troopers say all four vehicle occupants were wearing seat belts and drugs or alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Troopers say the official cause of the accident remains under investigation and possible charges against Allison are pending investigation.

Both vehicles were impounded for safe keeping by Carl’s Towing.
