Shelter Bay, Washington: Here is a collection of Photos from the Shelter Bay Marina fire in Skagit County. We’re told that a least 7 large boats have been completely destroyed by fire and many others have been damaged. Initial reports from the Shelter Bay Marina state that over a million dollars worth of damage has been done by the fire. The US Coast Guard and Department of Ecology are on scene assisting with clean up and containment of spilled fuels. Several Skagit County Fire Districts responded to the scene, including Anacortes, La Conner, McLean road and others. Med 3, The US Coast Guard and Skagit Dive Rescue also responded to assist. We want to say Thank you to everyone that submitted photos to Skagit Breaking During the incident. The photos were shared with major news outlets in the Seattle as Breaking News as it happened. Skagit Breaking was mentioned live on air from Kiro 7 and Q13.
