Express Employment/Birch Equipment donate $2000 to Community Action

Express Clydesdales

On May 22, 2014, a rare team of black and white Clydesdales gave wagon rides, posed for photo opportunities, and nuzzled up to local community residents all to raise money for Community Action of Skagit County. Express Employment Professionals, a proud contributor to Community Action, organized the event that raised $1,300.

June 5th, 2014- Community Action would like to thank the Express Employment Professionals for donating the $1,300, proceeds from their Express Clydesdale event on May 22, 2014. A special thank you to Mark and Sandy Hagen for their partnership in this and other events that help raise awareness of our collective efforts to stabilize lives and equip people to exit poverty.

Thank you Birch Equipment

Community Action would also like to thank Birch Equipment for donating over $700, proceeds from their annual Demo Days event on May 22 in Anacortes and May 29 in Bellingham.

The funds will be used to help the Skagit Food Distribution Center provide disaster relief support to the community of Darrington as a result of the land slide.

We appreciate the support and the partnership as Community Action helps to stabilize lives and equip people to exit poverty.
