SR530 Crash Update

State Route 530: On August 31st, 2014 around 1:40pm the Washington State patrol received reports of a serious injury car accident on State Route 530 near Milepost 60. According to the Washington State patrol press release, 21 year old Alecia Turturices of Darrington was driving a red 1989 Honda Prelude southbound on State Route 530 around milepost 60 when she crossed the center line and hit a dark blue 2007 Chevrolet 1500 pickup driven by 52 year old Daniel Bradley of Darrington. Bradley was towing a black 2009 Tracpac Snowmobile trailer. The impact severely injured the driver of the Prelude and she was transported to Harborview medical center in Seattle via an Airlift Northwest Helicopter. The driver of the truck was transported to Skagit Valley Hospital where his condition is unknown. A passenger in the truck, Linda Bradley, 49 of Darrington was transported to United General Hospital in Sedro Wooolley. According to the press release, a second passenger, 21 year old Dionicio Cantu, of Kalispell, Montana was not injured. The press memo states all parties were wearing their seat belts and both vehicles were impounded to the Washington State Patrol Bullpen. The press memo also states that it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. The cause of the accident is under investigation and charges are pending.
