Pend Oreille, WA. September 29th, 2014. 6:18 pm. The Washington State Patrol responded to a serious injury motor vehicle accident in Pend Oreille, two miles North of Cusick on North State Route 20, near Milepost 417. According to the Washington State Patrol press memo, 18 year old Bryanna Sargent, was driving a green 1997 Hyundai Accent Northbound on State Route 20 near milepost 417 when her vehicle left the roadway to the East and went into a ditch and struck a culvert. The vehicle then caught fire. Bryanna was pronounced dead at the scene. The Cause of the accident is under investigation. The vehicle was impounded to Newport Towing.
