Mount Vernon Man injured in Camano Island Crash

State Route 532 AccidentCamano Island, WA: February 28th, 2015, 11:19 am.   The Washington State Patrol responded to a two-car injury collision on East State Route 532 at Good Road, 2 miles West of Stanwood.

According to the Washington State Patrol Press Memo, 86 year old, Charles Ekle of Mount Vernon was Southbound on Good Road  in a grey 2003 Ford Taurus when he came to a stop  at SR 532.  He then made a left turn onto State Route 532 in front of  a Westbound 2010 Honda Insight driven by  Jesse Terry, 56, of Burlington.  The westbound Honda struck the Ford Taurus. The driver of the Taurus  was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where his condition is unknown.  The Taurus  was impounded by Sno Isle Towing.  The driver of the Honda Insight was injured and transported to Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon where his condition is unknown. The Honda  was impounded by Dicks Towing. Both drivers were listed as wearing their seat belts and drugs or alcohol are not suspected in the accident.

The cause of the accident is listed as Failure to yield right of way.

Charges are pending.
