Rockport, WA: According to the Washington State Patrol Press Memo, on March 9th, 2015 around 3:33 pm the Washington State Patrol responded to reports of a serious injury car accident on State Route 530 near Milepost 57. This is about 10 miles South of Rockport.
A Black 1985 Nissan Pickup was traveling Westbound on State Route 530 when it traveled onto the Right Shoulder. The driver over-corrected to the left and then back to the right. The vehicle left the roadway to the right shoulder and overturned.
The vehicle then caught fire. Witnesses tried to rescue the woman from the vehicle but were unsuccessful.
The Vehicle was impounded to Carl’s Towing.
The Skagit County . Coroner has identified the woman killed in the car as 19-y-o Kailey Hanson of Darrington.
