King County, WA: March 31st, 2015. The Washington State Patrol responded to a two vehicle fatality collision on North 169th, just North of 218th near Milepost 16. This is 1 mile North of Maple Valley City Limity in King County.
According to the press memo a 1989 Honda Civic was Southbound on State Route 169, just north of 128th when it collided with a Norhtbound 2012 Orion Bus driven by 69 year old Michael Prater of Tacoma. The driver of the bus was injured and released at the scene. The driver of the Honda died at the scene and their name was being withheld until next of kin can be notified.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
