Lyden Crash Injures 3 at W. Badger and SR539

 Lynden, WA:  April 1st, 2015. 4:57 pm. The Washington State Patrol responded to a semi verses car serious injury collision near the City of Lynden.

 

According to the press memo, Simranjit Kaur, 30 of Bellingham, was Southbound on State Route 546 in a White 2006 Honda Accord when she failed to stop at a stoplight.  A green 2005 Kenworth Semi, driven by Mark Demmer, 51, of Lynden was Eastbound on West Badger Road and struck the Honda in the intersection. The semi driver was not injured.

Simranjit Kaur, the driver of the Honda was injured and transported to St. Josephs hosptial in Bellingham. A passenger, 64 year old Bellingham Resident, Ranbir Kaur, was injured and transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. A second passenger,  2 year old Harman, Walia, of Centralia was injured and transported to Harborveiw  Medical Center.

The cause of the accident is listed as the Honda, failing to stop at a red light. Charges are under investigation.

The Semi was towed by Berks Towing, the Honda was impounded by ASAP Towing.
Additional details on the patients conditions are not known at this time.
