I can honestly say I have only met Miriam Witt once. While going to nursing school at Skagit College, I had the opportunity to follow Miriam to learn and improve on my skills as a student nurse. It was amazing to see her work. She is so positive and caring. I could see Miriam was an amazing nurse by watching her patients relax when she walked into the room. While being around her and learning from her I came to the conclusion, that one can’t teach someone empathy or teach someone to truly care. All I can say is that she is a local nurse, who has just came back from volunteering in Nepal with IMAT. After learning about the second earthquake, Miriam has a want and need to go back. I would love it, if Breaking Skagit could share her gofund me page, because what she is doing is so commendable and we should as a community come together to send our nurse to help with global issues. Thank you for taking your time to read this.
Sincerely, Natalie Moreno
