Anacortes PD has received info about a teen drinking party planned for Guemes Island.

Zero Tolerance

The Anacortes Police Department has received credible information concerning plans for a large, underage drinking party on Guemes Island this weekend (June 13th – 14th). A group of teens have been planning to take a Saturday morning ferry to the island with the intent of camping out and doing extensive drinking. Indications from social media are that 50 or more kids are planning on attending. The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for law enforcement on Guemes Island, and they have been advised of the specific information gathered by APD.

This information is being shared out in an effort to improve the safety of our community’s children. Parents, please talk to your teens and make them aware of the dangers and illegality of underaged drinking.
