MONROE, Wash. – The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office public information officers says, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office dive team has recovered a man who drowned in the Skykomish River at Al Borlin Park earlier this evening.
Witnesses reported that the man had been jumping from the Lewis Street trestle into the river.
The initial call came in to 911 at around 9 p.m.
The man was recovered from the river about an hour later.
Positive identification of the victim, as well as cause and manner of death, will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
The death investigation will be conducted by the Monroe Police Department.
No further details are available this evening.
