Sedro Woolley, WA- On July 23rd, 2015, the Sedro Woolley Police Department arrested Nicholas Brown after he fell through a ceiling of a house in the 600 block of Doris Lane while hiding in a crawl space from police who were trying to contact him about a 2013 Felony Warrant for failure to register as a sex offender.
According to the probable cause affidavit the Sedro Woolley Police Department received information that Mr. Brown might be living at the residence in the 600 block of Doris Lane and attempted to contact him.
Officers could hear a large amount of movement coming from upstairs of the duplex while standing on the porch. Officers gained access to the rental house and cleared the main living room. Officers were able to take Mr. Brown into custody after he crashed through the ceiling while hiding in the crawl space near the roof.
During their search officers located several guns including two pistols and two riffles as well as ammunition, cases and holsters.
Officers also located several large glass jars full of marijuana in processed forms and multiple drugs related items, such as scales, packaging and sandwich size zip lock baggies which are commonly used to package marijuana for drugs sales. Several of the jars were labeled with various varieties of marijuana as well.
Mr. Brown was arrested for failure to register as a sex offender, 4 counts of unlawful possession of a firearm in the 1st degree and possession of drugs with intent to deliver.
He is currently being held in the Skagit County Jail on $50,000 bail.
