
Sedro Woolley School District van had multiple occupants including a student aged occupant with special needs.
Sedro Woolley, Wa: July 23rd, 2015. 8:01 am. The Washington State Patrol responded to a two car-rollover accident on State Route 20 just West of Sims Road about 3 miles east of Sedro Woolley. According to the press memo, 45 year old Ricky Brinson of Oak Harbor was Eastbound State Route 20 in a 2001 Dodge Ram Pickup when he crossed the center line and hit a Westbound Ford 150 Van driven by 56 year old Elaine Linzay of Sedro Woolley. She was injured and transported to Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon.
A passenger in the van, Deborah Cribbs, 49 of Sedro Woolley was also injured and transported to Skagit Valley Hospital in Sedro Woolley. A third passenger in the van, 12 year old, Erika Judd of Lyman was also injured and transported to Skagit Valley Hospital. Troopers believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident and the driver of the truck was arrested and booked into the Skagit County Jail on suspicion of vehicular Assault. The vehicles were impounded by Carl’s Towing.
The press memo lists Driving under the Influence as the cause of the accident and charges are pending against the driver of the truck.
