Two people to ER after early morning crash on Highway 20 spur near Anacortes

imageWe first reported this at around 1:30 am- High risk mvc: SR20 spur at R Ave. Driver over embankment, unconscious. Anacortes. Immediately we had some of our followers give us some key information.

We are told that the driver of the truck is under investigation for DUI.

The passenger of a truck that went over the embankment was rushed to the ER by Law Enforcement who were on scene. We were told by a family member that he is doing ok.

On the scanner, we heard that they were requesting tools to pry the driver out, and we then recieved eyewitness conformation that the driver did have to be pried out. The driver was flown down to Harborview in Seattle

Eyewitness Emily Dyer, who was not in the truck, said, “Yeah we are fine thank goodness for the embankment other wise it would have went right through the back of the house.” Emily also sent us the photograph of the truck down the embankment.

Despite being so early in the morning, we had quite a few comments from our followers on social media that were on scene. Sydney Capasso said, “It happened right on the west side of R Ave. I had my window open and saw the lights come and go along with the sound.”
