Mount Vernon, WA: On August 1, 2015 at approximately 2:24 pm, Mount Vernon Police were dispatched to a weapon offense that had just occurred in the area of E. College Way and Urban Avenue.
The 911 caller reported the driver of a vehicle stopped next to them at the traffic light, pointed a handgun at them.
The suspect vehicle was described as a red, 2-door Chevrolet passenger car, occupied by several Hispanic males.
Officers responded to the area, locating the suspect vehicle in the 1500 block of North 18th Street. The suspect vehicle was stopped, and an adult Hispanic male and two Hispanic juvenile males were detained.
During a search of the vehicle, officers located three BB pistols. All three vehicle occupants are currently in-custody as officers continue their investigation.
North 18th Street between E. College Way and Roosevelt Avenue was temporarily closed, and the Little Caesar’s restaurant was placed on temporary lockdown. Both were re-opened within 15 minutes.
