Clark County, WA: On October 17th, 2015 around 2:35 pm, the Washington State Patrol responded to a fatality accident on West State Route 14 near milepost 21. This is about 3 miles East of Washougal in Clark County, Washington.
According to the press memo from the Washington State Patrol, Rebekah Maggart, 38, of Stevenson, was traveling Westbound on State Route 14 in a black 2013 Jeep Wrangler when the vehicle left the roadway to the right. The driver over-corrected and the vehicle struck the Eastbound guardrail. The vehicle then rolled and the driver was ejected from the vehicle.
Paramedics responded and transported the woman to Peacehealth-Southwest Washington Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Next of kin was notified by the Stafford Texas Police Department in Texas.
The vehicle was impounded for safe keeping to Chuck’s Towing.
The press memo states the driver was not believed to be wearing a seat belt and it is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
