A Paramedic from Central Skagit Medic One, was honored with a special accommodation at the ninth annual Angels of the Battlefield Gala on November 4th in Washington, DC.
Wayne Papalski is well respected in the Skagit Valley. He not only serves as a paramedic with Central Skagit Medic One, but he also is an adjunct instructor in the education department of Skagit EMS.
Wayne has also served ten years with the Navy as a corpsman. While serving at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, he was awarded the Presidential Air Medal for his contribution to a successful search and rescue mission. On this search and rescue mission, Wayne administered life saving care to an injured hiker. His efforts are a big reason why this hiker is still alive today.
Thank you so much for all that you do in our community Wayne Papalski!
