Anacortes, WA-  November 19th, 2015.  This afternoon at around  2:40 PM Anacortes Police Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call on J Ave in Anacortes.

A male suspect at the scene was reported to be making threatening statements and was believed to be armed with a gun.

As Officers arrived,  the suspect got in a vehicle and refused commands to turn off  the vehicle. The subject then took off, driving erratically.

Officers followed the suspect and observed him drive off the roadway near 29th St and K Ave.  The suspect traveled through a yard and his  vehicle struck a residence.

Police say the suspect  then refused to get out of the vehicle and appeared to be trying to find a way to drive off again. After refusing to comply with several verbal commands, Officers deployed a  Taser and the suspect was taken in to custody without further incident.

Anacortes Police say, there were no injuries and the suspect, a 51 year old Anacortes resident, was  transported to the hospital for a medical evaluation.
