If you drive SR 20 between Jacobs Road and Morris Road south of Coupeville on Whidbey Island, you’ll see crews removing about 100 trees starting Monday, Nov. 30.

The work is part of a WSDOT project to add a center turn lane to SR 20 near the Island Disposal transfer station south of Jacobs Road. PSE needs to move its utility lines, so the trees need to come down. Drivers should be prepared for possible single lane closures during daylight hours.
