Mount Vernon WA:   At around 2:10am on January 2, 2016, Mount Vernon Police responded to a report of gunshots in the 300 Block of Stanford Drive in Mount Vernon.  Police found two parked vehicles that had been struck but no one else was around.

A short time later, two victims, ages 16, called stating they had been parked in the area of the shooting waiting to pick-up a friend.  A gold colored Chevy car pulled up alongside of them and exchanged words.  An occupant from the gold Impala pulled out a gun and fired at the two occupants in the other car.  Fortunately, no one involved was hurt.

Police located the suspect vehicle, in the 1900 Block of Douglas Street parked at a residence.  A search warrant was served on the residence and two juvenile males and adult female were taken into custody.  Investigators spent several hours searching the residence for evidence and impounded the gold Impala for further processing.

Two Mount Vernon juvenile males ages 16 and 17 and adult Burlington female age 22 were booked into Skagit County Juvenile Detention and Skagit County Jail for Investigation of Assault 1st Degree and Drive-by Shooting.
