Burlington, WA: On January 23rd, 2016 around 11 pm, Officers from the City Of Burlington responded to reports of a person under the influence of drugs in the 200 block of Burlington Boulevard.
Officers contacted a man in the area that fit the description of the person and he provided Officers with a name. Officers ran the mans name and were advised that the person had active warrants for their arrest. The subject was then notified that he would be placed under arrest for his outstanding warrants. The subject then refused Officers verbal commands to stop and place his hands behind his back.
Officers had to apply Pepper Spray to gain compliance from the suspect. After Officer took the subject into custody they discovered he had not provided them with his real name but had multiple warrants for his arrest. Officers searched the subject and found .5 grams of a crystal substance, later to be determined to be Methamphetamine. He was also found to be in possession of brass knuckles.
The subject was booked into the Skagit County Jail for his outstanding warrants, resisting arrest, possession of a dangerous weapon, and VUCSA or possession of Methamphetamine. He has since been released from custody.
