BURLINGTON, WA- In a press release this morning from the Burlington Police Department we have learned a few more details on the reported threat at the Burlington Edison High School. Here is a copy of the Press release from Burlington Police Department Detective Sergeant, Eddie Rogge:
“On February 10, 2016 Burlington Police responded to a threat at the Burlington Edison High School. A student reported receiving a threat from another student that he would come to the school with a gun and shoot him. The suspect also threatened to shoot others at the school and then take his own life. The victim was in fear that the threats would be followed through with by the suspect.
Burlington Police arrested and booked a 17 year old male into Skagit Co. juvenile detention for felony harassment. He has admitted to the threats involving the incident.
Burlington Police are continuing the investigation and are going to increase patrols in the area of the school today.”
The Burlington Edison School Also sent out an email last night to parents around 9:50 pm. A screen shot of that email can be found below.
