MOUNT VERNON, WA– The Skagit County Coroner has identified the man found shot in Mount Vernon on Sunday as 22-year old, Faustino Morales of Mount Vernon.
Mr. Morales died of a gunshot wound to the chest after he was taken to Skagit Valley Hospital from a home on West Street in Mount Vernon.
According to police audio records available through a creative common license, Mr. Morales was found by a family member in “bad condition” on Sunday night. The family member then updated Dispatch to let them know they believed he had been shot.
Firefighter, Medics and Officers from Mount Vernon responded to the scene and performed CPR on the subject and he was transported to Skagit Valley Hospital where he later died.
The Investigation into the shooting death is ongoing.
