ARLINGTON, WA- The Washington State Patrol responded to a Fatality crash on State Route 530 at 300th St NE just after 11 pm on Valentines Day.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 17-year old Samantha Weldon of Stanwood was traveling Eastbound on State Route 530 in a blue 2002 Dodge Intrepid when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
The cause of the crash is listed as speed and the press memo states the teen was not wearing a seat belt. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
The vehicle was impounded by North County Towing for safe keeping.
