Man Smashes Windows of Van in Busy Mount Vernon Intersection

Mount Vernon, WA- Officers from the Mount Vernon Police Department responded to an incident at the corner of Riverside Drive and College Way today.

According to witnesses, the driver of the red van pulled into the intersection and exited his vehicle and then started smashing out every window on the vehicle. When he was finished he sat down in the middle of the intersection.

Update from Mount Vernon Police Lt. Chris Cammock: At About 7:30 PM yesterday a mans van broke down at the intersection of Riverside Drive and College way.  Apparently the frustration was a bit overwhelming because he took out a hammer and broke out all the windows on his vehicle. When police contacted him, they discovered he had warrants and was taken to the Skagit County jail where he was booked.
