Skagit County, Washington– Officers from the Burlington and Mount Vernon Police Departments responded to reports of a possible drive-by shooting on the Riverside Bridge connecting Mount Vernon and Burlington.
According to scanner archive recordings, obtained through a creative commons license, witnesses reported hearing multiple shots and seeing occupants of two vehicles that were possibly shooting at each other in the area of Market Place Drive and Burlington Boulevard.
The witness told dispatchers that they saw a Black BMW with tinted windows and a Gold or Brown Toyota Camry that were possibly shooting at each other.

The witnesses told dispatchers that the subjects in at least one of the vehicles were possibly wearing red bandanas.
The black BMW was last seen Northbound on Burlington Boulevard and the Gold or Brown Camry was last seen turning onto Whitmarsh Road.
Officers closed the bridge on both ends and re-routed traffic onto side roads during their investigation and search for shell casing evidence.
