Truck Runs Into Side Of Burlington Sports Keg

Burlington, Washington– City of Burlington Police, Firefighters and EMS responded to reports of a Truck Vs Building Crash at The Sports Keg in the 1600 block of South Burlington Boulevard around midnight on Saturday Night.

 

Initial reports were that a fight was also in progress  at the location so the fire and EMS units staged until Officers could secure the scene.

 

Shortly after arriving, Burlington Officers advised Fire and EMS crews that the scene was secure and the driver of the truck had fled the scene.

 

Additional Officer searched the area for the suspect and later apprehended him and transported him to the Burlington Police Department so a Washington State Patrol Trooper could process him for suspicion of  driving under the influence of alcohol.

 

The Sports Keg’s South Wall sustained some structural damage after the vehicle rammed into the wall as you can see in the photos below.  No one inside the bar was injured in the crash and the driver of the truck appeared to be uninjured as well.
