Sedro Woolley, Washington– Rebecca Marie Maskell, was sentenced to 60 days in jail after she plead guilty in Skagit County Superior Court to one count of felony first-degree theft after stealing money from an online GoFundMe.com fundraiser she helped set up to support the Conn Family after the unexpected death of Brad Conn, a Sedro Woolley High School baseball coach who died in January of 2015 at Skagit Valley Hospital after having heart surgery.
Rebecca Maskell was ordered to pay restitution of over $8400.00 which she is accused of stealing from the fundraiser.
The Judge ordered Rebecca Maskell to have no contact with the Conn family for 10 years and she is to report to the Skagit County Jail within one month to begin serving her sentence through an alternative work-release program due to her lack of criminal history.
