Sedro Woolley, Washington- Detectives from the Sedro Woolley Police Department arrested a 29-year old man from Exeter, California, after a 13-year old girl notified a school counselor that he had been inappropriately touching her for a period of several years.
The girl had originally told two family members about the assaults, a year ago. A family member told the girl that they were going to call the police to give her a lie detector test because they did not believe her about the molestation, but the family member never called the police at all.
The man then physically assaulted the girls aunt and fled to California. Records show the man has a history of domestic violence charges and he had active warrants for Felony Failure to Appear, Burglary 2nd and Assault in violation of a restraining order.
On April 8th, 2o16, the man was arrested on a shuttle by Sedro Woolley Police Detectives.
He is Currently being held in the Skagit County Jail in Lieu of $100,00 bail for three counts of Child Molestation in the 1st degree and One County of Residential Burglary Domestic Violence
$75,000 bail for Residential Burglary Domestic Violence, and Assault in Violation of Court Order.
$15,000 bail for Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Theft 2nd, DUI, Hit and Run Unattended, Resisting Arrest, and driving on a suspended license in the 3rd degree.
$15,000 bail for Assault in the 2nd degree, domestic violence.
Skagit Breaking is not naming the man to protect the identity of the victim.
