Sedro Woolley Man Arrested for Theft, Indecent Exposure

Mount Vernon, Washington- On April 12th, 2016 around 8 am, Mount Vernon Officers were dispatched to a theft in progress at Platt Electric on Market Street.

Officers were able to quickly find and arrest the man, who Employees  confirmed had stolen $144.45 worth of merchandise from the business.

Officers ran the man’s criminal history and found he had multiple previous  thefts, including on on December 7th, 2015 from Skagit Farmers Supply and a theft from PUMA in Burlington on December 3rd, 2015.

Officers found an EBT card and some other identification that belonged to a woman in a black wallet that did not belong to the man.

Later in the day, Officers were called to the 300 block of East College Way for a report of a male jumping around and causing a disturbance.  Officers found the same man, bleeding and acting abnormal and jumping around holding his head in his hand. Officers called medics to check on the man.

Witnesses reported to Officers that prior to their arrival, the man had pulled his pants down and proceeded to smile and masterbate himself in front of the grocery store.

Officers took the man into protective custody and transported him to the Mount Vernon Police Department.  While performing a thorough search of the man’s belongings, Officers found several items, including methamphetamine, drug paraphernailia and needles.

The man, Robert Wasson, of Sedro Woolley, was arrested and booked into the Skagit County Jail where he is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail for  two counts of Possession of Stolen Property in the 2nd degree,  Possession of another persons Identity, Retail Theft with Extenuating Circumstances, Indecent Exposure, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Identity Theft 2nd.
