Marblemount, Washington- The Washington State Patrol Responded to a Car vs Pedestrian crash on State Route 20, one mile West of Marblemount just after 8:15 pm on May 14, 2016.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 63-year old Robert Cinque of Marblemount was driving a green, 2000 Toyota Pickup Eastbound on State Route 20 near milepost 104 when he struck 16-year old Bryan Crookshank of Marblemount. The Press memo states the teen was walking Eastbound on the shoulder of State Route 20 with his back to traffic when he was struck.
The press memo states the 16-year old was taken by medics to Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, where his condition is unknown.
The cause of the crash is under investigation and charges are pending. The press memo also states that at this time it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
The vehicle was driven from the scene.
